The Duo
After studying, dancing, and napping in equal measures, I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I went on to the University of Illinois College of Law and graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor. I practiced law at a large law firm in Illinois before moving to Galveston, Texas, where I spent six months reading novels on the beach and planning my next steps. I landed at the University of Houston Law Center and happily traded in my title of beach bum for a new title of Career Counselor. I have since moved to Washington, but have continued to help law students and graduates with their professional development and job search. When I'm not working or chasing down my two rambunctious boys, I love exploring the beauty of my new home state through hiking and stand up paddle boarding. And of course, I still love laying on the beach and reading novels when I have the chance. Krishna may be the funny half of the Review Duo, but I am definitely the wise one!
I spent four years at the University of Michigan earning my Bachelor in Business Administration degree and eating copious amounts of Taco Bell. By the time I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Single Subject Mathematics Credential at Dominican University, I had upgraded to gourmet nachos at the local taqueria. Much to my parents' chagrin, I have pursued anything but medicine, engineering, or law since then! It's been the most enjoyable roller coaster as an investment banker, strategic consultant, classroom teacher, and math coach. I am also the author of two award-winning children's books: Sardoodledom: A Spelling Bee Tale and Found All Around: A Show-and-Tell of Found Poetry. The San Francisco Bay Area has been my home for over 15 years. A few hobbies that I have less time to indulge in after having two kids include reading, snowboarding, and adventure traveling. I am thrilled to be one half of The Review Duo - the funny and wise half! (Don't let Bhavika tell you otherwise.)
